Disney surpassed $6B in user spending

In July 2023, Disney achieved a new benchmark in user spending, reaching $6B. This indicates a consistent upward trend for the publisher, with user spending in H1 2023 registering a 13% increase compared to H1 2022. Nearly all of the spending came from non-gaming apps, with the leading contributors being: Disney+ (accounting for 75% of the total), ESPN: Live Sports & Scores (16%), and Star+ (1%).

Geographically, the US accounted for the largest proportion of user spending (59%). Other English-speaking countries such as the UK (5%), Canada (4%), and Australia (3%) contribute a significantly smaller share of the overall user spending structure. In terms of stores split, Apple store accounted for 60% of the total amount of user spending, and Google Play for the rest 30%.
